The fantasy Shaman gave me the challenge of having to paint a snake. I like the way it turned out.
Not an original idea, but the colors really pop with the model. I would think coral snakes in the 41st millennium would have evolved some rokkit launcha arms but we can't have everything.
Next up is the converted Demon of the Woods. I like this guy almost as much as I like my Gorkanaut. I am very happy with how he turned out. I was most worried about the wings.
The rust on the glaive came out nice and the red really pops. The wings mounted on the model well. I was concerned because the model is metal and the wings are plastic, but it wasn't a problem.
I used superglue to put the wings in place after I had shaved down the plastic. I used PVA glue (Elmer's) to fill the gaps and then a coating a Liquid Greenstuff.
So even though I missed the "deadline" I still managed to finish two nice models. I need to come up with something for June, but I might skip it. I'm going to Disneyland! Vacation time is almost here. Thanks for checking it out.
Digital camera says "fix my red eye!" I did. Once I saw this picture I touched up that eye. |
Great work my friend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAnd you won the draft! You are awesome at everything.
ReplyDeleteAwww. You're too good to me. :) I love you.
DeleteMate, the Warhammer world is bloody dangerous; every snake is a Coral Snake! The Orks are looking great, I especially like the winged guy. I am thinking of ordering some old school MtG cards for my Birthday and trying to rebuild the mono red deck I had in high school. I sold it in my senior years to buy Terminators and a Dreadnought ;-)
ReplyDeleteLol. "Every snake is a coral snake!" That's just fantastic. I still have a huge collection of MtG cards. I basically traded away my Legacy deck for 80% of my Ork Army. Not bad for some cardboard. :)
DeleteNo better way to get over missing a deadline then a trip to Disneyland if you ask me LOL
ReplyDeleteThe models look great you really got the wings to blend in very well which is not an easy thing to do.
I know! It's hard to be bummed when I'm about to take my 4 year old to the "happiest place on earth.". Thanks for the compliment. I was pretty nervous about how those wings would turn out.
DeleteAgree, the wings look great! Excited to see weirdboyz too. I wish we could put them on bikes...those conversions would be so much fun.
