DONE!

Finished the Dark Eldar and just in time!  My friend is sending the painted stuff along with some people who are driving into Las Vegas early so he doesn't need to take them on the plane.  Finally a huge sigh of relief!  Now I can get back to doing some Orks!
Woah! Flash is way too high.

The pictures aren't great and I also accidentally deleted the big group shot from my camera (tech savvy aren't I).  They were just about finished when I took these.  I did add the red to the tips of all of the Raiders and Ravagers as per Greggles suggestion, but after I took these pics.

Operating under such short time constraints was a great learning experience for me.  I learned some shortcuts and I think the experience will help me as I progress as a painter.  NEVER PRIME IN SATIN! I am glad I don't have to worry about this army anymore.  My pal Big Mike will be at LVO this weekend with his tabletop Dark Eldar and he is happy he doesn't have to worry about it.  He still needs to finish his scourges and one Dark Eldar jet.
Red tips!

Thanks for the support during this project!  I will be getting back to Orks very soon... Anyone remember my Stompa?  Thanks for reading!

  1. Well done, I'm glad you got it finished in time. Painting to a deadline, especially a short one, requires a whole new subset of skills. I can't say I am very good at that kind of pressure anymore ;-) Bring on the Stompa!

    1. Thanks, Marc. I thought I would be burned out but I started the metallic base coat on the Stompa last night.

  2. Wooooo! I just finished my repaints of my last three kans last night. Talk about cutting it to the wire. Now lets see if the TSA doesn't destroy my orks.

    1. Nice! I hope you have a blast! I'll be going myself next year with my Orks. My friend really liked the red tips on the rest of his vehicles and I made sure to give you the credit. Kick some butt. Your rusty Kanz are looking good.

    1. Thanks again for the support, Frank. Having everyone from the blog cheering me on really helped. I wouldn't have finished without all of the kind words.
